DEMONSTRATIONS OF TV IN 3D PROVED A MAGNET FOR VISITORS TO BARNSLEY WORKS – A SPECIAL EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE FOR SOUTH YORKSHIRE BUSINESSES
The LETS stand proved a hit with many of the 700 delegates attending the Barnsley Metrodome in April and even prompted organisers to enquire about the use of 3DTV at the Dream Start show for new entrepreneurs taking place in Leeds in June.
The Barnsley Works show was backed by a range of organisations helping South Yorkshire businesses to gain a sharper competitive edge.
The LETS demonstration included examples of 3D promotional tools including moving 3D logos, interactive architectural renditions and 3D concepts and prototypes, but it was the simple power of 3DTV to attract audiences that proved most compelling.
“3DTV comes into its own in an exhibition environment where there’s a need to stop delegates in their tracks with a different way of getting messages across,” said LETS spokesman Helen Richardson.
The Barnsley Works expo was supported by a wide range of local organisations including Barnsley Development Agency, The Barnsley Chronicle, Business Link Yorkshire and Barnsley/Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.
